Spectacular work. Interested in the final layout of the ground tackle once the deck is complete.
Went back to your April post on the “hawse” to get a glimpse of the plan – – we are similarly equipped for side-drop (starboard side for us), with limited deck space so I am the manual windless. . . Enjoy the workout, but looking for better options. . .
Paul… thanks for your comment. Turns out we have gone back to the custom bow roller and anchor from PT foundry…still utilizing the original McMurry windlass (new motor). Our reasoning revolved around a couple factors. First – ease of single handing and accomplishing things like attaching a snubber line and cleaning the anchor from debris and mud. Second – protecting the hull from damage. Three – aesthetics (the forged bronze bow roller and period appropriate custom anchor are stunning). You can see photos in another earlier entry. We should have the bow roller and anchor before the end of the month and I will post about the install at that time.
Love that photo looking down on the foredeck from the wheel house roof.
love that one too – it looks amazing
