The decking cover planks are now glued in place. The center strake will be varnished as an accent, the rest of the deck will grey out.

Looks amazing. My understanding is that glued deck planks will mean less chance of leaks ‘down the road’. So better than original like so much of what is going on with this project.
Yes, that is correct. There are two layers of overlapping marine plywood covered with fiberglass beneath the glued teak – so should be no issues with interior leaks. The seams will still need to be maintained to prevent water damage to the teak.
